Previous collaborations between graffiti legend Futura 2000 and Nike have elicited some amazing results. The “Dunkle” SB Dunk Hi uses some of Futura’s more recognizable artwork that was used frequently by the instrumental hip-hop collective, U.N.K.L.E. After that successful sneaker came the Futura P-Rod, which also got sneaker fans excited. Just recently, Futura worked with the LIVESTRONG line of Nike products on a Dunk Hi that flew off of shelves at the few spots where it was released.

Next up from Futura and Nike is a pack that features four different models of Air Force 1s. We saw samples of this project in June, but now we can see the pack in detail. There are two high top and two low top models that are definitely a departure from the graphic and illustration-heavy approaches to previous Futura Nikes. These Air Force 1s go for the classic approach in single color choices–black, white, gray, and navy, allowing the shoe’s classic silhouette to speak for itself. The subtle details, like the use of both smooth and perforated leather and the incorporation of translucent outsoles that say “True” in Futura’s famous handstyle, make this Air Force 1 pack that releases in early 2010 one that collectors will swoon over yet again.

Sony PlayStation 3 Gets A Price Drop And A New "Slim" Model September 1st

Kaz Hirai, head of all things PlayStation announced that the long-rumored slim PlayStation 3 Slim will be in stores the first week of September.

Hirai noted that it will be have the same features and function of the current PS3, with a 120 gb drive. It will be 33 percent smaller, 36 percent lighter.

The unit will cost $299 in the U.S., 299 euros, 29980 yen.

It was widely speculated among the gaming press that Sony would announce a slim version of the PlayStation 3. Recurring rumors of price drops and supposed spy shots fueled speculation for months.

Sony's next major gaming press event is Tokyo Game Show, which begins in late September.

As for the current PS3 Models currently in stores the prices have dropped from 399$ to 299$ for the current model, but who would go and buy the current model now for that price when the new PS3 Slim will be available first week of September?

The GTX is designed based on simplicity, functionality and beauty. The general aesthetics aim for a neo retro look– a classic rendition of something futuristic. Throw yourself back in the 1960s and try to reimagine what a car in 2010 will look like and that picture shouldn’t be too far from the streamlined GTX.

Don’t let GTX’s good looks fool ya– the supercar has a rapping 650 horsepower, which is more than the Lamborghini Murcielago. The car powered by a 8.4 L V-10 engine recently debuted at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and is set to retail for $500,000 next year.
